Entwined (An Anniversary Poem)
Like branches of a tree
that grow into each other
from years of being close
they merge
**
A bramble winds itself
about the nearest object
wrapped tightly
unable to pull free
**
So are two hearts
thrust together
over time they
become one
**
Enmeshed like fine lace
entwined with loving care
hearts begin to beat
as one
