Epitaph of Love #atoz #flashfiction
One
last
silent tear falls
“WHY?” echoes
Sculpted beauty
stone cold
veined marble
“here lies…
…cherished by many
…embraced by few …
thought of passionately by one”
“you held me
too soon released
a love I longed for
world I dreamt of
gone the moment
you slipped into
her icy fingers
wiped of guilt
dagger
entombed”
This fiction evolved from a heartfelt epitaph of lost love to an epitaph of one wronged in love. I hope you enjoyed the ending…

Oh, this is beautiful and haunting, Leslie.
That is one amazing sculture. And your words do it justice. Very nice.
