The Middle of Life #poetry #photography
In the middle of the chaos
Do you close your eyes and aim
Drown out the sounds
Flee life’s futile game?
In the middle of today
can you open to a world
where chaos can be beauty
tho the notion seems absurd
In the middle of senselessness
can you view another path
where peace and order
have replaced anger and wrath
open up your eyes
listen for what is there
see beauty
heart’s compass set to care
For those of you who are so gracious to read my work on a regular basis please excuse my absence. Life takes many turns my life turned and I found myself being admitted to the hospital. Still trying to find the problem and the solution.
All of you are appreciated!!!
In the midst of life’s difficulties there IS beauty…

Love the “beauty in the heart’s compass set to care”
Well said.
I love the tenderness and truth of your poem. I’m visiting from G-man’s blog. Glad I did.
Hope there’s nothing seriously going on with your health. But if so, chose a positive path if you can.
Sorry, I didn’t enter my info on my comment and it has me as anonymous.
yes there is beauty….sorry to hear about your ups and downs moon….wishing you the best…and keep finding that beauty…
That’s a great poem & photo, Leslie!
Yes, I had wondered what you were up to , So sorry to hear you’re in hospital. Please do get well soon!
(And yes, I WOULD still like to collaborate on a children’s book with you if we can somehow)
Another beautiful piece… I hope your heath issues are sorted quickly, and you are well again soon!
To find beauty in the mist of chaos is difficult to do…wishing you all the best during these troublesome times…take good care my friend.
I’m sorry your having difficulties. Prayers for you. Please rest gently. dusty
I’m always a sucker for poetry and this poem was indeed lovely, made all the more poignant by whatever you are presently facing. Let your poetry make you well.
Nice impressionistic photo
Appreciate the positive take on hard times
When this post hit my inbox that was exactly my thought. I wondered why it had been so long since I had heard anything. I hope your needs are met and you find yourself better each day. Blessings to you.
