It never hit ’til you closed the door
didn’t turn back – no tempting smile
sauntered alone into gray
now you’re gone everything’s wrong
why wouldn’t you stay?
***
What about you will I miss?
cheeky grin, witty words
intelligence , talks late in the night
those lengthy kisses in your arms
***
why this empty vacuous silence?
love barren – irretrievable
were you tired of us
savoring memories?
***
thoughts of no more he/ no more me
how did the end begin?
little does he know
he has taken me with him

i feel the pain in this poem, those broken smiles at coping with the punches of love. at those that leave us behind. but in the end in it’s always worth it though! 😉
