Reck less (Flash Fiction)

My mouth is watering at the sight of this ’66 Mustang  in Mustang White. So like mine. A sweet car to be reckless in I can assure you. Sorry G – she’s no Chevy! Happy 55 y’all.

Take the plunge and write a story in 55 words. yes it can be done. The G- Man is the place to enjoy this crazy Friday Flash Fiction thang.

The top was down

the tunes were up

hair in the breeze

highway 55 ahead

He swerved – she braked

he was running a little late

or their meeting that night

would have ended with red lights

instead he jumped in her

Stang and they ran for the heights

to escape another set of lights

  1. Wreck-less is the best way to enjoy a beauty like that Pony! Always good to trade the wail of sirens for the enchantment of city lights blinking below a sweet lookout.

      Moon smiles

P.S. I don’t think that was a “lane” that Stang was cruising on

  3. Great poem, and a great memory. I had to wait a month for them to finally release the first Mustangs to customers. Mine was red. Man, did it ever attract the police. Of course, if i drove normal, that wouldn’t happen. However, the Mustang was just that, wild and unwilling to be reined in. :-)))

  4. A friend of mine is currently on a long stay in California due to her hubby’s work. They are at the mercy of a car pool system so it is all in the lap of the gods and a matter of luck – so guess what they have been allocated? Yes a new mustang! Guess we all have to take the rough with the smooth in this tough world!

Great stuff – mine is up!
