My Son The Editor – makes a mother proud ( Flash Friday 55)

“Hi Mom”

“Hi Jon”

“Here’s a hypothetical question.”

“What is it?”

“What would cause you to disown me?”

“I don’t think there is anything.”

“I’m glad to hear that mom because you are in the college newspaper.”

“My cartoonist portrayed you as a whale.”

(minutes go by)

“Jon your room was just hit by an asteroid.”

(or a mad whale)

This week my daughter came home with the college paper; my son is the editor. I guess his cartoonist decided to be cheeky. Thanks Jon – I hear pieces of your room are on Mars. Go ahead all my 55 buddies laugh but remember I have connections in the cosmos (grin)

This week’s Flash Fiction is hosted by  – the G-Man. Well every week is hosted by the G-Man. Enjoy the show!

    1. My kids make sure of that. Last summer I was back stage (working for my daughter’s theater company) The story was I kicked butt of two guys who were trying to break in. I actually told them I was going to call the police and they ran off.
So now I guess I’m the whale that kicks butt…

      Happy Frieday

    1. In real life we all howled. Though I wondered how the cartoonist knew I was a whale with funny hair.
I was mortified for one moment because alot of the students at the local college know me. Then I realized the laugh they would get.

      1. I discovered your blog wsitbee on google and verify a number of of your early posts. Proceed to maintain up the excellent operate. I just further up your RSS feed to my MSN News Reader. Searching for ahead to reading extra from you later on!o

    1. I agree with Ms. Terri, that Regina seems sincere right now. But, of crusoe, tomorrow is another day. And she did change her mind and not burn the book stashing it away in case she might need it later. As far as Cora being the Queen of Hearts I don’t know a lot about the Alice in Wonderland story (never was a fan) so I can’t comment. But I will say this Mulan is getting on my nerves! Didn’t like her last week and even though we only saw her for a short scene this week I didn’t like her again.
