Never to See You – Jamais Encore #poetry

Ce que fera je fais…

Si je ne vous voit jamais encore?

The question was what…

what would I

what will I do

when you leave

you leave and

never

return?

Life giving oxygen leaves

in quick blasts

at the very thought

thought

you gone

my world

vacant

*

An empty bed

empty hand

empty heart

empty…

*

The first breath comes

second in succession

painfully

filling the empty spaces

A painless moment

accompanied by another

gasping for another breath

hoping for another breath

pleading for refuge from the pain

death of my heart

replaced with life

life is happening

life will happen

I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. 1. Aye. Only the unwise think their life depends on the presence of another human. It is good to be a part of a pair or a community but in the end the conclusion is correct. I will live. The life of one is less complicated by half than the life of two.

I like this stylistically, near a perfect progression through the levels of painto the point of moving through and away from a past that only has meaning to the moments gone by.

      1. For me, choosing a mdeacil specialty is easy. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work as a Dermatologist Tech prior to moving to Alaska. What an amazing field! No two cases are the same and more than one type of procedure can be performed in a day. Working for a dermatologist provides the benefits of both a private office setting and hours along with the experience of surgeries and unique treatments. Cyst removals and cancer treatments became the most interesting procedures to me and I can not wait to get back into the field! There are not many positions or specialties I would turn down when it comes to the mdeacil field. If I had to pick one, however, it would have to be gynecology. Why would this be the field I turn down? I am honestly not sure. I must be lacking the gene the would cause me to be interested in the subject! For whatever reason I would choose to work anywhere else before choosing gynecology. Specialty clinics are like sushi I guess. How do you know you don’t like it if you’ve never tried it?!

    1. Charlie – thanks for that insight – it’s true – I wonder if for people that’s what leads to depression the sinking kind

  2. Always wondered about “No Pain–No Gain”. Are you saying this is TRUE?
You express these emotions in a way that anyone who has really “lived” will see themselves.

(est.) THREE BILLION FIVE HUNDRED MILLION (PLUS) men . Almost the same number of women. Isn’t it funny that we zero in on ONE only as “THAT one is MINE”!
