I Can’t #HipHop prompt

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get enough of you

It’s all I think of

you mess with my heart

mess with my brain

get out of both

going insane

I can’t get away from you

I can’t get away from you

I can’t get away from you

.

I can’t get away from you

Get off my beat

too much heat

I have my own beat

U on the wrong street

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get away from you

I can’t get you

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. In 2019, we started working with an E. African team developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children who want to learn. As a bio major and nurse, it is exciting to use my knowledge to encourage young minds to love science. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

  1. your words are like breakdance on the page – displays perfectly the “torn” emotions in this…the can’t get away – can’t get enough…the heat – beat – street…

  2. Oooo, I LOVE how this flows across the page, dancing right along with the wave of words. Tres cool, Leslie.

Oh yes, love — making you never get enough, but never getting away either.

Wonderful post! You nailed this beautifully.

  3. There’s a JudyBats (local band in the ’90’s) song that has lyrics that this poem made me think of: “And you were almost human, almost sane, you’re almost human, you wreck my brain, you wreck my brain.”
