You can’t see it
but it’s there
a world of action
love death laughter guerre
***
He said it with aplomb
she whispered with disgrace
everything as it should
every line in it’s place
***
Did you see it?
I think not
for in the wings
we did a lot
***
The illusion
is so grand
for the house
after they stand
***
and for us
we smile with grace
for without us
things would be duly out of place
***
the theater
would be just old boards
the cast
costumed by the hoards
***
it is us
those wearing black
you never see us
we will be back
***
for every show
you take the bow
thespians back stage
we are you now
Thanks to One Shoot Sunday for the picture prompt by photographer

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn.
I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community.
I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers.
There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

It takes a crew! As well you know. Are we at 1SP the black dressed crew or are we as so often both cast and crew.? And yet your careful crafting of the lines complete with rhymes give understanding to the work that gives meaning to “the show must go on”.
Well done, Gay

It really is fun to see the drama that occurs back stage and prevents mayhem front and center

I used to help out backstage when I was at school. Loved it. Really wanted to be out front but my acting sucks 🙂

I miss theater!! and your piece ignited my passion for the stage…I was originally a theater major in college (switched to lit and creative writing)…reading this I found myself back on the stage…standing off to the side preparing for my entrance…
This photo prompt is awesome..as is your response!

Hi Moondusterwriter…
I enjoyed your poem … a true celebration of our spiritual nature (((❤))) fleeting, invisible at times, yet graceful, effervescent and bright.
Thanx
