Shattered pieces of us
unmendable puzzle
love’s memories are left
none remain to hold us
what is left my love?
pieces?
memories?
a calderon of desire on one shore
unspoken words on another
separated by more than space and time
our hearts will never be repaired
shards of love ripped through you and I……………………..

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn.
I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community.
I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers.
There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

Leslie,
I really enjoyed this poem. I liked what you did at the end, breaking the words into pieces. It fit well with the poem. Thank you for sharing 🙂

Beautiful poem, Leslie– puts a lump in my throat for you and all of us. I can identify with the loss, so intensely brought forward in this— xxxj

I like how you broke out the words to illustrate the loss and sadness.
You might think of offering this for the PhotoPlay at The High Calling.

Oh a treat of poetry and visual typesetting! I love it! 🙂 wonderfully done for the words and for the use of the space as a double visual treat!

Filled with such sadness for what once was. Heart’s in pieces do mend, eventually. The prose and the way you presented it are fabulous.

i love your poem and the emotions it conveys and i think your visual “form” is perfection! i really enjoy doing this type of “word art” too ~ do you know if there’s an actual name for it? this is heartbreaking, Leslie. beautifully written and beautifully laid out. ♥
