hint of spring (2)

Smiling at the signs

spring peaks on the horizon

I join others in song

waving to my friends

I go along my way

happy greetings of the day

I never saw the signs

there are soldiers up ahead

I calmly still my dread

“To visit  family”

I say so cheerfully

scream at the bullet’s sound

“get on with you” they said

“or surely you’ll be dead”

my car they have destroyed

white bloody rose

*

I have used poetic license but this is what happened several Sundays ago to a woman on her way home from church in Crimea.

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. In 2019, we started working with an E. African team developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children who want to learn. As a bio major and nurse, it is exciting to use my knowledge to encourage young minds to love science. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

  1. That is a fact… so heartfully written!

__Governments’ tools of illusion: the facts; 1 BLACK marble. Speculation and mis~truths, are 499 DARK BLUE marbles. In that mix of 500 marbles, find the facts! [results of that Crimean ‘vote’… I believe are mis~ truths.]
