the haiku cascade allows the poet to continue a thought while maintaining the quality of the haiku form.

“If a poet is anybody, he is somebody to whom things made matter very little – somebody who is obsessed by Making.
~e.e. cummings

As a writer/ poet what are you obsessed with making????

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. In 2019, we have an exciting project. We are working with a team developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children who want to learn. I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2012 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the (quiet) originator of the idea and co-producer of One Stop Poetry. I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers. There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

  1. Imprint in the shadow, crystalline snow , sounds beautiful , this beauty is hard to take when we have to shovel to clear it. Poets make everything sound so beautiful!

  2. Beautiful, wonderful–I just learned of this form recently, and will post my first attempt soon. Yours, and the others I’ve seen, make for hard acts to follow.

  6. I didn’t even know haiku cascade is a thing! I did a few a few months back as part of a poetry a day for a week challenge and though it was posted per day, it was written to be read continuously! Your haiku and the cascade thing make me so happy 🙂
