entrance to another world
crack it open
songs stream through the opening
throw it wide
sunlight treasure dusts your path
go through the door
look upon adventure
don’t look back
behind you is gone
your past is a closed book
keep walking
surprise in the garden
you are never alone
love grows here
its fresh scent opens your eyes

Poetry is the opening and closing of a door, leaving those who look through to guess about what is seen during a moment…

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. In 2019, we have an exciting project. We are developing elementary curriculum for Ugandan children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children who want to learn. Along with the curriculum, we hope to develop simple fictions about Uganda for the children to read at school. Trust me books are in short supply. We will use our trusted story tellers: a butterfly and a lion to make the stories come alive. Stay tuned as Bethany and Me put pen to paper.

Love how the window forms the letter D. It’s a great mix of things you have going on here for each letter – the visual art, the poem, the inspiring quote, and quick literary lesson. Lots of power in each post!
Hope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,
Jocelyn

Beautiful. And it worked–the didactic aspect of it. I was actually envisioning walking through the woods to my own secret garden. Lovely, Moonie. 🙂 Thank you 🙂

A very literal interpretation of the quote – and exquisitely well done at that! I think this is my favored piece so far that you’ve posted for the challenge. 🙂
