It was tied just tight enough
held the boats
moored during a storm
allowing them to freely float
It was tied just tight enough
when they said “I do”
to allow for freedom of love
without mind control on cue
It was tied just tight enough
the family a happy bunch
celebrations a frolic
memories made not crushed

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn.
I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community.
I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers.
There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

That is the delicate balance needed – tight yet giving enough to allow for freedom and no mind control. Awesome.

Very flowing poem. Very good read too, like a sailing ship sailing smoothly on calm seas. Intertwining vows and knots…your ideas seem to come out of no where 🙂

Those who know how to tie the perfect knot, are those who know how to live together forever. The knot may slip from time to time, but it can always be re-tied.
