mountain filled scent
limbs reach toward the sky
welcome home
****
I don’t know what you think of when you see or smell a pine tree but I think about home. As a child, I lived in and among the pine trees. I climbed the 20 foot trees around our home and realized they aren’t a great tree for climbing.

The Carpe Diem Time Glass prompt gives a 12 hour window to write a haiku. Depending on when you check in, you may have 12 minutes. Today’s prompt is the photograph and Pine Tree.

I decided to add my drawing of the hour-glass. I am still working on it – it’s hard to get sand particles really small.
Hope the week is starting out well for you!!!

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn.
I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community.
I am a published writer, poet, artist and photographer. I have written, as well as edited, for periodicals, radio, blogs and fellow writers.

I would imagine pine tree are not the best to climb…my personal favorite as a child was a pear tree that had small pears and my personal tree house in it….a place of solitude and an ever present meal. 🙂
