jagged edges of this heart
unwilling to fit where they’re torn
you forced them once into place
fractured now and forlorn
I dare you, pick up a piece
recognizable pattern no more
place kindness next to an edge
it may still welcome the warmth

The jig saw puzzle has a curious character. Like a person no two are the same. Each longs to be put together.
Do you like to put jig saw puzzles together???

Thank you for visiting Moondustwriter. One of the many exciting things I've had the honor of doing is writing with an E. African team that is developing elementary curriculum for African children. As a writer, it is a thrill to help children (on all continents) who want to learn.
I've been part of the blogging community for more than 10 years. Some old timers may remember the award winning (2011 Twitter Shorty ) blog community - One Stop Poetry. I was the co-producer of that fast growing blog community.

There are many facets to this moon - thanks for stopping by.

Oh, I used to love putting puzzles together. Your poem has me wondering where my box of puzzle is. I’m now on the hunt:)

Hmm…I was thinking each poem we write is a bit of a jig saw puzzle. 🙂

I love puzzles! I like them best over the summer, with my daughters. 🙂

Thank you for visiting and for the mention here. I think you are very brave to just pack up and set off for Africa. And well done for having two A-Z challenges going – I’m beginning to struggle with one! Good luck with everything.
