Young #atozchallenge

sea foam line

yesterday I stubbed my toe

nothing was making sense

my imprints vanishing

closed in by life’s fence

today I followed my footsteps

retraced some of my steps

jumped similar  waves

discovered no more regrets

tomorrow I’ll follow my heart

no matter the cost

sing to you and the sea birds

our smiles will never be lost

Where do you find your younger self?

  1. I’ve got the grands…but humor has always been a part of my life.
    I’m might have become a tad more responsible…but I don’t think I’ve ever ‘grown-up’.

My younger self…wasn’t a good place. I am happy where I am now. 🙂

  2. I recently found my younger self when I read Anne of Green Gables. I had watched the tv series and loved it, but had never read the book. Reading it brought me right back to all of those lovely feelings I had about Anne when I was younger.

  3. Cool poetry! I find my younger selves nested within myself mostly, and sometimes on a rocking horse, or swings, or in train stations buying rubbishy cheap toys/souvenirs/candy floss.
