This Too Uganda #haiku #lifeinUganda

orange, brown, yellow

moody grey summer clouds

banana leaves wave

*

doors and bed frames

Uganda flowing color

highway cattle drive

*

pine forests

rich red soil on my sole

jagged rocks

*

boys on a journey

Nile a final destination

honk, honk

*

cool African breeze

five mud puddle splashes

big white smiles

*

sharing the loo

we dont see eye to eye

dairy cow dung

I really never expected to share the loo with a cow before.  Wish I could have snapped a picture. Boys are the same in any culture; when dad’s away they are looking for a little adventure (his car perhaps.)

  1. Hi Leslie – I haven’t had the cow sharing lark, just a snake – non poisonous I guess in Botswana … intertwined in the woven privacy sides – which must have been an interesting experience for you … room for two?! Boys … boys will be boys … lots of fun to be had with the younger versions! Love the poem of Africa, too true – cheers Hilary
